Post Primary Principals, Deputies, and Teachers with Responsibility for Health and Safety, and Board of Management Members
To prepare schools to make the best use of the revised Guidelines for Managing Safety, Health and Welfare in Post Primary Schools, the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) will provide briefings to Principals, Deputies, teachers with responsibility for health and safety, and for Boards of Management in each of the ATECI regions. The Guidelines provide a step-by-step account of putting together a safety statement for schools.
The session will show participants how to use the Guidelines to review and update a Post Primary School Safety Statement, carry out risk assessments and ensure a school is complying with its legal obligations regarding safety, health and welfare. As well as presenting an overview of the revised Guidelines, the session will allow participants to explore in a practical way the various templates available in the Guidelines. The session will also explore simple and practical steps that a school might take when using the Guidelines as a resource for managing safety, health and welfare. Note: no substitute cover available
