21SPR08 - Restorative Practice – Trauma Informed & Healing Centred (Connecting Deeper)

Restorative Practice (RP) is a values-based philosophy; it aims to consciously build relationships, respond to harm / conflict in a way that honours relationships, and CONNECT us to our best selves and to one another (Stowe 2017)

This webinar, delivered by Michelle Stowe, who is a restorative practitioner, trainer and consultant, is aimed at all those who work in education. It highlights the critical theory, beliefs and values of the restorative philosophy to ensure that the practices are trauma-informed and healing -centred. It highlights an understanding of the ACE model and how the symptoms of Adverse Childhood Experiences can show up in our classrooms. It introduces Bruce Perry’s Neurosequential Model to support us to understand how both stress and connection can affect the brain and how we learn. It aims to move away from strategies that seek to promote conformity and towards ways of relational thinking and being that promote connection, community and effective teaching.

Please note you will be emailed a link the morning of your chosen webinar to allow you to login.  Please check you Spam folder if you do not receive it in your Inbox.
